Review: Beyond burger

We discovered Beyond Meat due to Marc Rober's review and we were very curious to try it out.  I will not comment on the ingredients or on the environmental impact, but rather focus on taste as a meat lover.

Short Summary

👶 Kids Approved     Loved it

Preparation

The patties come nicely wrapped and ready to go to the grill pan. They look similar to meat patties, a bit lighter in colour and a little bit sticky when touched.

I cooked my patties in a grill pan. Alternatively, the patties can be fried in a regular pan. When frying the patties, the house smelled like meat and the patties oozed fat like meat.

Taste and flavour

I actually did not tell the kids that they are eating plant based meat. They were excited to eat meat/burgers and did not feel a difference in taste. I would have also confused it with meat. The taste just perfectly imitates meat and is a true replica.

Is it worth it?

It looks like meat, it smells like meat and it tastes like meat. It's up to you to determine if it is worth it. My family loved and Beyond Meat Burgers are a regular for dinner.
